This work was written during the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s “Ravel Reimagined” Project in 2021, during which classic Ravel works for piano and contemporary works inspired by Ravel’s writing were paired together in concert. This piece was inspired by and paired with the Menuet from Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin.
